Using a Treadmill to Get Rid of Love Handles!

When it comes to weight loss your main focus should always be on burning more calories than you intake on a daily basis. You don’t have to be an Olympic gold medalist, nor do you have run marathons in order to efficiently burn those extra calories. One of the best methods available to everyone is walking. It is a proven method for losing weight when done consistently. Try starting with 45 minutes and work your way up from there. Do that 5-6 days per week and you have the beginning of a great routine.  Walking for just 3 days will not cut it, your weight loss will be minimal at best. You need to combine frequency and consistency when it comes to walking, both are equally important when it comes to total weight loss. One proven method is exercising on a treadmill, it’s one of the best love handle exercises!
One benefit of using a treadmill for exercising is its a very low impact activity.  That means the risk of injury to your knees , hips and your back become minimal. By staying injury free you’re more likely to continue to perform such exercises throughout your life. This will in turn allow you to control your weight as well as keep your muscles toned and strong. Running or walking on a treadmill provides you with convenience, comfort as well as the safety of working out at home…day or night It goes without saying that your heart also benefits from a consistent treadmill exercise!

Walking outdoors is great, but remember if you stick to flat surfaces, you’ll need walk longer distances in order to burn more calories and promote weight loss. However, when walking on a treadmill, you have the ability to increase the intensity. A simple adjustment to the elevated grade completely changes your walking workout.  This will cause an increase in your heart rate which in turn makes your body work harder. As a result calories are burned more efficiently in less time and distance. Before you know it, you’ll begin to see the results and those love handles will drop off and stay off!  Just remember to be consistent in your workouts and the weight will remain off.

With everyone wanting to lose weight for one reason or another, regain that youthful figure or just be in better shape the treadmill becomes a very useful addition to your home gym.

Today, treadmills are readily available and being sold at just about every major retail store. There are many brands to choose from and just about each one will help you walk off those unwanted love handles. One bit of advice, if at all possible try out your treadmill before you purchase, get a feel for what it can and cannot do. Make sure its right for you!

There are many resources available online so do your research before you buy and make those love handles a things of the past!
