Are you like most men, finding your stomach getting bigger around the middle. Is trying to button your pants getting more and more difficult every day? are you finding out that the last 10 or 15 years spent sitting on your backside watching Monday night football, and eating chips and drinking beer is finally caught up with you, and now you’re sporting love handles instead of the sporting big old muscles? You’re definitely not the only guy in there is good news for you.
If you have too much fat around your stomach, and you need to strengthen up your abs, I have some advice that will be beneficial for both men and women who want stronger abs, which will lead to a smaller waistline and less back problems. When you strength your stomach muscles, the lower your back problems. Some simple exercises to lose those love handles are setups and stomach crunches. Both are very effective.
Specifically for the lower abdomen area. You can lie down on your back. Lifting your feet and knees off the floor and gently kicking your legs as if he were swimming.
Do this for 15 seconds and rest for approximately 30 seconds and then repeat.
You may wish to cut sodium and sodium rich foods from your diet. We tend to associate sodium and sodium rich foods with heart disease and stroke. Sodium also leads to water retention, which can make love handles even more difficult to lose. Avoid processed foods that are high in sodium, which most processed foods are. Drinking water can also help you to lose those extra pounds. Water not only helps keep the body hydrated, it also helps your body metabolize stored fat energy and will help you reduce your appetite.
You may also want to consider reducing your alcohol intake. I’m sure you’re just as disappointed as I am that alcohol doesn’t have the same beneficial effects as water. Alcohol contains a lot of what is called empty calories, which for men tend to get deposited around the stomach area, resulting in love handles. You do not need to cut alcohol out completely, just lower your daily intake and understand that when drinking alcoholic drinks, you’re just adding to your calorie intake for the day.
Finally, consider doing some cardio exercises. Any calories you burn off will not necessarily just come from the stomach area. This doesn’t mean that spending three hours a day in the gym is necessary. Just add at least 30 minutes of exercise to your routine everyday. Walking around the block or your neighborhood should do just fine. If you have several lbs to lose, more intense cardio may be needed to lose or flatten your stomach. However, start small and build up. Love handles do not have to be a permanent fixture to your body. There are simple non-evasive proven methods that will help you tone up and improve your general fitness. These will not only make you feel better, but will also help you look better.
