1. Do you really need the equipment? First and foremost the equipment should fit your interests and needs. Will this equpment challenge you and provide you with a varied exercises.

There are never any guarantees when it comes to buying fitness equipment, especially when something new may makes it harder to use. If possible, always try out the quipment prior to buying possibly at a local fitness club. Start with smaller pieces of equipment that are aligned to your interests

2. Can you really afford it? Do not fool yourself into thinking that because you spent money on a some equipment that you will therefore be forced to use it.  Buying expensive equipment is never an assurance that you will use it.  There are many a  treadmills out there that now serve as very expensive clothes hangers. Always consider how much your willing to pay for something and make sure that the equipment is worth it. Next, always think about quality before ou buy any equipment. Picking up equipment at a bargain price may very well mean that the quality is just not there. Remember, That can also work in reverse! Paying a high price for inferior equipment will drain your pocketbook quickly. Look for alternatives, research used equipment because most of the time that’s where your going to find great deals! For the most part, this equipment has been used very little and is in close to NEW condition. Lastly the prices on this equipment can be as much as half off the retail price,

3. Think about space, do you have room for it? Most buyer fail to consider how much room fitness equipment can take up.  Example, if your thinking about a treadmill, make sure yo measure the space before you buy. Make sure you have you have placement figured out or it will be a hassle to use.

4. Safety, is the equipment safe for you?  Always consult with your doctor before you begin any exercise program. Ask if the equipment your considering is safe for you. Some equipment may cause you pain and even be harmful for you to use. As always try before you buy!

When your taking on any new exercise program it’s recommended that you first consider joining a gym near you.  They all ready have all the equipment you need. So, when you compare the cost of buying the equipment as apposed to using it at your local gym, most of the time you will save money!

When it comes to buying fitness equipment you should consider a few key things…do not make a purchase on impulse or emotion, always seek the opinion of your doctor and gym professional before buying. Buying the right equipment for yourself will lead to better more consistent workouts!
